Today was an... interesting day.  I drove back to Findlay not knowing how my would go, but I knew because of what I had planned it would be out of the ordinary.  I had agreed to ride along with a fellow student here from Japan to help him understand driving in the U.S.   At first I was nervous because I didn't know him that well, and the first thing that your parents teach you is to beware of strangers, and not to go in vehicles with them.  I didn't like challenging his credibility, but my overactive survival instinct drove me to ask a friend to come along.  I am sorry Kaitlyn I am now embarrassed at how paranoid I was, my apologies.
So after a few minutes of riding around in his little Honda Civic(yes I call this car small, I had to stop myself from making comments about its widdle bitty 4 cylinders, which i could tell by feel, and its plastic ride.  I am a car person, and I'm american.  I like heavier, more powerful machines myself) she makes her excuses and we dropped her off.  It seemed that he was quite sketchy on stop signs and that made things interesting, but after a while of driving, things because more fluid and we were able to talk about different things.  Mostly cultural differences, he taught me a Japanese phrase, and I explained some strange sayings in English.  We drove straight most of the time, up and down the main drag of Findlay campus.  Somehow at one point we ended up in the countryside, and we both enjoyed the scenery.  He had never really seen wildlife outside of a zoo, so i told him stories about the countryside where i grew up. It was very peaceful, because the weather was beautiful and the company was non-overwhelming.  Americans can be very overwhelming in manner, sometimes you just need a break from people yapping all the gorramn time.  So the drive in the country was very peaceful :)

Most of the drive was silent, because of language barriers and lack of what to really say, but it was not awkward.  He didn't really seem to mind my change of hair color, which was nice because he seemed to accept me either way.  I think he must of planned this night out a little bit, because after driving around quite a bit, he drove to his house apartment and asked me what sports I played.  I said none really, and he said, "I like baseball.  Would you like to practice with me?"  This was at around 6:45, we had been out for almost 2 hours.  I was tired, and I did not want to attempt baseball and embarrass myself or injure him with my tentative "skills", so I made the homework excuse and he drove me back to Morey Hall.  He seemed disappointed that I had to leave, but my mind can only take in so much at once, so I was happy for the reprieve to decompress and process the current events.  I did tell him that I would practice driving with him at some other time, but that I had too many things tonight to stay out longer.  I did have a wonderful time, and I would do it again.  But this leaves some unanswered questions, such as, "does he like me?"  "do i like him?"  "Would it be worth being anything more than friends because he leaves in 8 months?"  Some of these are jumping the gun a bit, but i am a 18 year old female, so of course i ask illogical questions.

I need opinions, do you think that was a date?  When he contacted me he asked for help on learning to drive in Findlay, not for any other reason.  I've never been on a legit date, so I really wouldn't know one if it bit me in the arse.  Please leave your opinions below, if anyone does end up reading this.
